One netizen explained the meaning of the song “Daisies” and name Dove in a tweet posted on Thursday. The tweet said that “Daisies” was a song about courage, hope and dreams, while the dove was a symbol of peace, hope, courage and freedom.

“That[’s] why Katy Perry made #Daisies as the lead single & Daisy Dove Bloom as the name of her daughter,” the tweet continued. “She wants her daughter to bloom [with] full of hope, courage, dreams & freedom.”

Another netizen replied to the said tweet, saying how she was amazed that the “major clue” was right in front of everyone all along. She also expressed her happiness for the couple and their newborn daughter and wished that she would bring lots of light love and peace into the world.

Perry reportedly co-wrote “Daisies” with Jon Bellion and Jacob Kasher. She dropped the song in May but it was included in her latest album “Smile.”

The song was reportedly based on an idiom “pushing up the daisies” and when someone has been covered with daisies, it meant that he or she has been buried beneath the earth, according to Song Meaning and Facts. The site further described Perry’s song as “inspirational” and an “ode to resilience.”

The 35-year-old singer’s new album has been scheduled to drop on Aug. 14 but because of production delays, the release date was moved to Aug. 28, Billboard reported.

UNICEF earlier shared message happiness and gratefulness from Perry and Bloom as they announced the birth of Daisy Dove through its official Instagram account. The couple has been working with UNICEF over the past years and along with their celebratory post, the goodwill ambassadors urged people to share their generosity, which could save many children.
