Several actresses are said to be the front-runners to play Tina and Queenie in the “Harry Potter” spinoff movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The movie will be based on the book of the same name written by J.K. Rowling.

According to a report by the Wrap, the producers have narrowed down their search to Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Fanning, Lili Simmons and Alison Sudol for the role of Tina, and Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston and Elizabeth Debicki for the role of Queenie.

Ronan is known for playing Agatha in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and playing the protagonist in “Hanna.” Fanning appeared in “War of the Worlds” and played Jane in “The Twilight Saga” movies. Simmons is a cast member of the “Banshee” TV series. Sudol plays Emma Wilson in the “Dig” TV series and appeared in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”

Upton appeared in “The Three Stooges” and “The Other Woman.” Waterston was in “Inherent Vice” and will play Chrisann Brennan in the upcoming “Steve Jobs” movie. Debicki will play Lady Macduff in the 2015 “Macbeth” movie and appear in “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”

The actresses who will be chosen to play Tina and Queenie will be seen opposite Eddie Redmayne, who will play Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts.” The “Harry Potter” spinoff will take viewers back to the fantasy world of the books and the story will be set 70 years before Ron and Hermione entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The script of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” has been written by J.K. Rowling and the movie will be directed by David Yates. Filming is expected to begin soon and fans of the franchise will be able to see the “Harry Potter” spinoff Nov. 18, 2016, in the U.S.
