Mischa Barton might not have won the Mirror Ball trophy, but the eliminated “Dancing With the Stars” contestant walked away from the ballroom with something much better — a new relationship. According to reports, the actress is dating her Season 22 dancing partner, Artem Chigvinstev.

A source divulged to “Entertainment Tonight” that the alleged couple, who were the second pair to get sent home from “DWTS,” were spotted having dinner in Los Angeles at the restaurant The Little Door.

The insider continued to explain that after getting eliminated during Week 3 of the competition, the ballroom buddies continued to stay in touch with one another before “transitioning into more than friends.”

“He is the reason she’s looking happier recently. She has become giddy when talking about him and quite smitten with him,” the source added.

Although Barton may be all smiles now thanks to Chigvinstev, the two couldn’t exactly see eye-to-eye when he was dipping her on the dance floor. In fact, during Week 2 of the series, Barton harshly blamed her partner for their low scores.

“I was relying on you to make it a positive experience,” “The O.C.” star said to Chigvinstev in her Week 3 pre-package.

But it appears that the partners have left the drama in the past and have decided to create a new chapter in their lengthy novel together. For those who didn’t tune in to the beloved teen series “The O.C.,” which premiered in 2003, Chigvinstev also starred in the show as a sexy dancer named Dimitry during the show’s fourth season. (This was after Barton had left the series).

"He seduces Melinda Clarke in this bar scene," Barton told Access Hollywood, revealing that her “DWTS” partner got hot and heavy with her TV mom on the dance floor.

Although Team BlackVelvet is no longer in the competition, fans can tune into Season 22 of “Dancing With the Stars” on Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT.
