  • This came days after she broke up with Max Ehrich
  • The actor previously claimed he found out that they were over after reading a report about their split

Demi Lovato has released a new song titled "Still Have Me" just days after her split from ex-fiancé Max Ehrich.

Lovato dropped the breakup song via social media on Wednesday, Sept. 30. "Music is always there for me," she wrote on Twitter.

"I’m a mess and I’m still broken / But I’m finding my way back / And it feels like someone’s stolen all the light I ever had," Lovato sings.

"Like the world disappeared / And I'm laying right here," she continues. "While the silence is piercing / And it hurts to breathe."

Lovato teased the song on social media just hours prior to releasing "Still Have Me."

The song comes less than a week after news broke that Lovato broke off her engagement with Ehrich, who claimed that he only found out about it through a tabloid.

"Imagine finding out the status of your relationship through a tabloid. While your (sic) in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people," Ehrich wrote on Instagram Story on Saturday, Sept. 26.

He then posted on Instagram Story on Sunday, "If you’re reading this … I love you always … unconditionally … no matter what."

Lovato has yet to address Ehrich's posts publicly, but she has been actively updating her fans on social media of what she has been up to. A source claimed to Us Weekly that the songstress is "in a really good place" after the controversial split.

She's "already jumping right back into work and spending time with friends and family," the insider added.

Meanwhile, an E! News source said that the "Young and the Restless" star's recent claim about being blindsided by the breakup made things worse between them. According to the report, the tipster said Lovato doesn't "want anything to do with him" after he put "their relationship on blast on social media."

"Demi wants no contact with Max at this point," the insider added. "She is completely embarrassed at the way he's been acting and putting their relationship on blast via social media."
