Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream collaboration with singer Dolly Parton launched last week. When it sold out online and in-stores, some online sellers put an upcharge on the in-demand dessert.

The Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream is described by Jeni’s as “sweet and salty, with timeless appeal, deep American roots, and makes you feel darn good. It’s a throwback to the triple-decker pie from the potlucks of our youths. Layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce."

The ice cream company only made 10,000 pints of the specialty item.

While the company is working on getting more of this hot commodity back on sale, online sellers have decided to price gauge their stockpile and sell the product on eBay.

One seller has the ice cream going for $1,000 for one pint, TMZ reported.

"Quick update for you on Strawberry Pretzel Pie: We have been working around the clock so that we can confidently drop the flavor … but we aren’t there yet. As promised, we’ll give 48-hour notice via email and social media before we release the flavor, but we wanted to let you know that it won’t be this weekend. Thank you, again, for your patience!” the official website stated.

Jeni's ships nationwide so customers can purchase the ice cream directly off the website, or pick a pint up in their local grocery store. When purchasing online, the site may crash as it did on the original April 8 release date, where the website saw 50% more traffic than usual.

Sale proceeds will go to Parton's Imagination Library. It's a "book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family's income."
