  • Inter Milan keeping tabs with Emerson Palmieri situation
  • Emerson reunion with Antonio Conte looms
  • Chelsea has yet to decide on plans for Emerson

Emerson Palmieri is one of the players likely to exit Stamford Bridge with Frank Lampard adding new blood. The fate of the 26-year-old may have been sealed with the arrival of Ben Chilwell. Regardless, the Brazilian is not expected to be short of suitors.

But before thinking ahead, the fate of Emerson remains up in the air. Though there are murmurs that he is likely to be stricken out by Lampard, there is nothing official. That could come in the following days and there are clubs in waiting.

According to Emerson’s agent, Fernando Garcia, Inter Milan is interested in the 26-year-old player. However, he remains conservative on the future of his client and mentioned that leaving Stamford Bridge is only a possibility, FCInter08 reported.

"It is possible he will leave Chelsea," Garcia said. "I have not yet spoken to the club. All I can say is that there is interest from Inter in the player. We’ll see."

However, Inter is not the only club interested in Emerson. Other clubs who are believed to be considering him include Juventus and Napoli. But of the three teams, I Nerazzurri has been singled out as the club pretty determined to snag the Brazilian left-back. But none of these are options until the Blues officially decide on Emerson’s plight. Emerson has two years left in his current deal.

For Inter, seeing the 26-year-old end up there makes sense. A reunion with Antonio Conte could work to Emerson’s advantage. It was Conte who took in the left-back when he was still in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Conte was believed to be under fire following their 2019-20 season performance. Most thought that he was on his way out but it appears that the air has been cleared. Now, Inter management and Conte are determined to plot new plans and move forward with the intent of hopefully improving their performance moving forward.

"The club and Antonio Conte had a constructive meeting today focused on continuity and strategy, in which the two parties laid the foundations to continue working together on the club's project," according to a statement released by the club.
