Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) took Fox by storm with the new hit show, "Empire." Now the pair are taking over Spike with an appearance on "Lip Sync Battle" and hosting the channel's 2015 Guys Choice Awards. Fox

Keep your broom handy and leopard print at the ready, because it’s going to be the summer of Cookie. “Empire” stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard are scheduled to appear on the Season 1 finale of “Lip Sync Battle” and at the Spike TV’s 2015 Guys Choice Awards. Their summertime television takeover of yet another channel starts just as the Fox drama’s dynamic duo begins filming Season 2 of their hit show.

The “Empire” actors behind the powerful patriarch and matriarch of the Lyon family have been announced as one of the closing acts for the Season 1 finale of “Lip Sync Battle.” Cookie (Henson) and Lucious (Howard) may duke it out on “Empire,” but this time it will be in song. The Wrap reports the Season 1 finale will be a special hour-long episode, with possibly more yet-to-be announced cameos.

Then in June, Cookie and Lucious Lyon will take over hosting duties at Spike’s 2015 Guys Choice Awards. According to E!, the on-screen power couple will present awards to Liam Neeson for “Biggest A-- Kicker,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for “Troop’s Choice” and Chris Pratt for the honorary title of “Guy of the Year.” The award show's executive producer, Casey Patterso jokingly warned in a statement, “Gird your loins boys, Cookie is coming to town!"

Variety reports Patterso said their “off-the-charts chemistry” will make for an award show audiences won’t soon forget. Now the question is, will Henson and Howard present as their “Empire” alter egos?

“Empire” Season 2 is set to return to Fox this fall, this time in two nine episode installations. Smollett has teased that the drama in Season 2 will make the explosive freshman series pale in comparison.

“Lip Sync Battle” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT on Spike. The 2015 Guys Choice Awards will air Thursday, June 18.
