• Halsey is expecting a child with her new boyfriend, Alev Aydin
  • She once dated actor Evan Peters
  • Halsey has a higher net worth than Peters

Evan Peters and Halsey were once a powerful celebrity couple. But who is richer between the two?

The answer is Halsey, who has an estimated net worth of $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, she got a jump start on her music career in 2014 after signing with Astralwerks. However, she began writing songs much earlier. Her first EP, “Room 93,” peaked at no. 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Halsey’s “Badlands” album in 2015 made the top 10 charts in Canada, the U.S., Australia, the U.K. and Belgium, among others.

The then-newcomer had started making a name for herself at the time, but it was her 2016 collaboration with The Chainsmokers, “Closer,” that announced her arrival as a pop star. In 2019, the 26-year-old also featured on South Korean boy band BTS' hit song “Boy with Luv,” which peaked at no. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now has close to a billion views on YouTube.

In the same year, Halsey earned her second no. 1, and first in a lead role, on the Hot 100 chart following her collab with The Chainsmokers with her smash hit, “Without Me,” which has nearly half a billion views on YouTube. Her other 2019 song, “Nightmare,” has been viewed almost 100 million times. It is no wonder that the young artist has already amassed a considerable fortune.

On the personal side, the Edison, New Jersey native dated rapper G-Eazy for over a year before they split in 2018. She then dated English singer-songwriter Yungblud for several months, before becoming romantically involved with Peters.

Peters has an estimated fortune of $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The Louis, Missouri native won Best Breakthrough Performance at the Phoenix Film Festival for his performance in the movie "Clipping Adam." He is best known for his role as the mutant Quicksilver in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "Dark Phoenix" and his multiple roles on the FX anthology series "American Horror Story."

When not busy filming movies, the 34-year-old takes on roles in TV shows. Among the series he has made appearances in are "One Tree Hill," "The Mentalist," "The Office" and “The Days.”

Peters and Halsey first sparked romance rumors in September 2019 when they were spotted enjoying a date at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles. Rumors of their breakup surfaced in March 2020 after fans noticed that Halsey had removed nearly all photos of Peters from her Instagram page. Some remain clueless about the breakup, while others have shared speculations regarding why Halsey and Peters may have called it quits.

Distractify noted that at the time, the actor had retweeted a post about the Black Lives Matter movement protests that expressed support toward police apprehending the protesters. Halsey is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement and Planned Parenthood, among others. While the "Dark Phoenix" actor had apologized and expressed regret over retweeting the video, the difference in their political stance may have been one of the reasons behind his breakup with the singer.

Since then, Halsey has been dating Alev Aydin and the two are expecting a child together. Meanwhile, Peters, who once dated Pixie Geldof and Alexandra Breckenridge, was previously engaged to actress Emma Roberts before meeting Halsey.
