  • Fans have been sending supportive messages to Mina amid her struggles

Former AOA member Kwon Mina sparked concern among her fans after sharing a troubling message on Instagram in which she talked about her inability to sleep at night.

On Sunday, Mina posted a black and white photo on Instagram of herself wearing a face mask. In the caption, she revealed that she was unable to sleep despite taking medication. The K-pop star added that she often felt anxious and is unable to trust people.

"I can't sleep no matter how many sleeping pills I take. When will I be able to sleep comfortably without thinking about anything? Have I ever had sleep like that? I feel like I want to do something and that I should be doing something... but when I try, I wonder what I can do right now," wrote Mina.

Mina then went on to ask her fans for recommendations for a good psychiatrist in certain areas in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

“Does anyone have recommendations for a really good psychiatrist in Dongtan or Ilsan who is a good counselor and prescribes good medicine? Please give me recommendations," she concluded her post.

The singer’s post had many of her fans worried, and they immediately expressed their concern for the K-pop star in the comments.

“Mina please stay strong __ we love you so much and you’ve been through so much,” wrote one Instagram user.

“We're here for you mina,” wrote another.

One Instagram user thought that what Mina wanted was a good mental health care specialist. She wrote, “Give her a recommendation if you know a really good professional of mental health!! And if you don't, give her love, she deserves it!! (if someone knows how to speak Korean translate my message) let's help beautiful Mina.”

On Sept. 26, Mina announced the termination of her contract with her label, Woori Actors, following her doctor’s advice to take rest.

Back in July, Mina accused AOA group leader Shin Ji Min, popularly known as Jimin, of bullying, alleging that the rapper mistreated her for over 10 years. The allegations led to Jimin eventually quitting the entertainment industry.

Mina then posted a photo of her slashed wrist on Instagram on Aug. 9. She was rushed to the hospital in time and avoided serious injury.

Mina’s recent post came after an online troll accused her of faking her problems and sent her death threats, per AllKPop.

Meanwhile, fans continue to send the young Korean singer love and supportive messages to help her cope with her struggles.
