Ex-porn star Mia Khalifa has praised model Bella Hadid for using her platform to spread awareness about the explosion that rocked her home country Lebanon on Tuesday and the crises it is now facing.

Taking it to her Instagram, the 27-year-old social media star shared Hadid’s series of Stories that sheds light on the plight of Lebanon and gave kudos to the supermodel for speaking up about these issues on social media.

"Bravo. A f---ing leader on how to post this day in age [sic]," Khalifa wrote.

"Everyone who has ever wanted to look and dress like her has to post like her," she challenged Hadid’s followers.

In her Instagram Stories, Hadid posted images of the explosion in Beirut and information regarding Lebanon's struggles with the "pandemic (COVID-19), political unrest, an unprecedented economic crisis and famine." The model also shared links to where her followers can donate for the victims of Tuesday's blast.

While the ex-porn star celebrated Hadid’s move, Khalifa called out influencer Hollie Woodward, who has over 930,000 followers on Instagram, for not "reading the room."

"Loving the 64 slides in the same mirror, but there's a humanitarian crisis in dire need of attention in Lebanon currently, and it feels slightly irresponsible not to spread messages of support and resources in a time like this. Especially when we’re all so reliant on social media to stay connected," Khalifa wrote.

Khalifa has been candid about her thoughts on the Lebanon explosion since news of the devastating blast broke and got emotional while talking about its aftermath. She also didn’t mince words when she lashed out on government officials, whom she felt "failed" the citizens of the country.

The former adult film star has been using her social media accounts to ask for support and urge people to donate to the victims.

Khalifa earlier lambasted Hezbollah, an Islamic political party based in the country, claiming it was responsible for the blast in Beirut.

"Not Hezbollah lying to the Lebanese people about hiding explosives on our soil, saying this blast was caused by FIREWORKS. Fireworks? Let me say this once and say it clearly: You are a disgrace and the Lebanese people deserve better," Khalifa wrote.

The cause of the massive explosion remains unknown, but CNN reported that it claimed the lives of at least 100 people and injured over 4,000.
