For the fourth time in the past six seasons, Chelsea is the Football Association Cup Champions after a 2-1 victory over Liverpool over Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Chelsea looked comfortably in control of the game for the first hour, but in the final thirty minutes Liverpool turned on the juice and

The first ten minutes of the match were a bit of a wash with neither team able to establish much at all. But when Chelsea got a chance to go up 1-0 they didn't hesitate.

Chelsea got things started with a goal in the eleventh minute from Brazilian Ramires. Blue's wing Juan Manuel Mata pounced on a bad pass and found Ramires in front for a goal that perhaps should have been stopped by Pepe Reina.

Chelsea controlled the remainder of the first half after the goal, getting 6 shots to Liverpool's 1 and generally having the better of the play.

Their dominance continued in the second half, and just seven minutes in Chelsea favorite Didier Drogba scored on a shot that split the legs of Liverpool defender Martin Skirtel before going in. Drogba's goal made him the only man to ever score in four different FA Cup finals.

In the 64th minute, Liverpool got back into the game when Andy Carroll, who only came on in the 55th minute for Jay Spearing, fell on a loose ball in the box. He made two nifty dribble moves to get himself into space and roofed the ball for his fourth goal of the FA Cup run.

Carroll was a force from the moment he touched the field, and had numerous chances but none better than his chance in the 82nd minute.

Carroll thought he had tied the game with a header, but calls on the field and replays proved that Petr Cech managed to keep at least part of the ball out when he deflected it off the crossbar.

Chelsea has one more final to get past before the season ends when they take on Bayern Munich on May 19th.
