There are plenty of new anime shows coming out this fall. Some will be continuations of existing shows, while others will be completely new, giving anime fans even more shows to look forward to.

The previous airing season gave fans a lot of excellent anime to digest, like the second cour of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” and “The Detective Is Already Dead.”

For those who are craving for more, here are the best upcoming anime for fall 2021 that fans should watch out for, from mainstream hits to lesser-known titles.

“Mushoku Tensei” Cour 2

Follow Rudeus Grayrat as he attends the Ranoa University of Magic in the second half of one of the best isekai animes of this year. “Mushoku Tensei” will continue this Oct. 3, according to Funimation, and it will cover the remaining 12 episodes of the first season.

The anime was heavily praised for its refreshing take on the overdone isekai genre as well as its stunning art, animation and soundtrack. However, it also drew flak because of its uncomfortable sexual scenes involving minors, which fans still debate about today.

“Komi-san Can’t Communicate”

This slice of life anime tells the story of Tadano Hitohito, a young high school boy who suddenly became friends with the titular class queen Shouko Komi, a beautiful girl with a communication disorder. Tadano agreed to help Komi achieve her goal of getting 100 friends in an episodic comedy about their daily lives at school.

“Komi-san Can’t Communicate” begins airing on Oct. 7.

“My Senpai Is Annoying”

Igarashi Futaba is a newly hired employee who has to deal with Takeda Harumi, her mild-mannered senior who can’t seem to stop annoying her. This slice of life romantic comedy follows the duo’s wholesome daily interactions at the office while Igarashi tries to hide her brewing feelings for her annoying senpai.

The anime is scheduled to air on Oct. 10.

“Mieruko-chan”

Yotsuya Miko is an ordinary high school student who suddenly gained the ability to see hideous supernatural creatures. Powerless and utterly defenseless, Miko carries on with her daily life pretending to not notice the creatures while trying her best to keep her friends safe from the monsters only she can see.

This unique horror comedy will air on Oct. 3.
