Just one week after Kelly Osbourne quit E!’s hit show “Fashion Police” over racially insensitive comments made by co-host Giuliana Rancic, network executives are hard at work finding her replacement. Numerous reports claim Naya Rivera, Christina Milian, NeNe Leakes and Khloe Kardashian are being considered for the position. Television legend Larry King even jokingly put in a bid for the highly coveted gig.

Unfortunately it seems Kathy Griffin, who signed on to host the show following the death in September of Joan Rivers, isn’t going to make this decision easy. TMZ reports that Griffin has demanded that she have final say over Osbourne’s successor.

Radar Online reports that Griffin is a big fan of Kardashian and hopes the reality TV star and former radio show host will be chosen. The pair first got a taste of working together when Kardashian co-hosted the E! red carpet at the Oscars alongside Rancic. Though the two did not interact on camera, sources say they hit it off behind the scenes.

“With Kelly gone, the show will be able to move forward in a very positive direction,” a source said. “During recent months behind the scenes, Kathy and Khloe have established a mutual respect for each other. Khloe has a terrific eye for fashion, and Kathy has been assured Kardashian jokes wouldn’t be off-limits.”

People previously reported that Rancic shares the same feelings about Kardashian and would love to see E! hire her. (E! already is the home of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" as well as its spinoffs starring Khloe and sister Kourtney Kardashian.)

Still, TMZ reports that higher-ups at E! refuse to back down and ultimately will make the decision on their own. E! has yet to reach a decision and none of the women they are said to be considering have commented on the selection process.
