“Fifty Shades Darker” is one step closer to becoming a reality! “Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James took to Twitter early this afternoon to reveal that Tuesday marks the first day of filming for the sequel.

“Day One #FSD,” she captioned a photo on Instagram. “Good luck to all the cast and crew.”

Unfortunately the photo isn’t to revealing. The image features a clapperboard that confirms that they’re currently on “Take 1” of “Scene 4.” However, it’s not clear where the photo location is.

For those unfamiliar with James’ erotic novels, “Fifty Shades Darker” picks up a few days after Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) ended things with Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). She starts her job at Seattle Independent Publishing, where her boss and editor, Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), puts the moves on her. Anastasia ignores his advances, and shortly after rekindles her relationship with Christian after attending her friend Jose’s photography exhibit together. But, of course, Anastasia and Christian’s relationship hits a rough patch again when his desire to control her leads to him secretly buying Seattle Independent Publishing.

It’s possible that James’ photo could be the set of Anastasia’s new job as the background looks as if it could be from an office. The books scattered on the table also could be a hint at the publishing company.

While fans of the “Fifty Shads of Grey” franchise will have to wait and see, YVRShoots reports that filming is currently taking place on 110 E. Cordova St. in Vancouver. Production started Tuesday at the location, and will run until Feb. 24. As previously reported, a fan took note that the film location was previously used in a scene that was cut from “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The scene in question featured Anastasia walking into Seattle Independent Publishing.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is being directed by James Foley. E.L. James completed the screenplay for the sequel with her husband, Niall Leonard. The movie will hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
