A Qatar Airlines flight from Doha to Bali made an emergency landing Sunday after a woman refused to stop beating her spouse upon discovering his alleged infidelity. The woman, who remained unidentified due to privacy reasons, unlocked her sleeping husband's phone with his thumb imprint and found out he was cheating, the Hindustan Times reported Tuesday.

After flight attendants were unable to calm the female passenger down, flight QR-962 made an emergency landing in Chennai. The flight continued to Bali with roughly eight hours remaining to its destination.

The couple and their child were escorted off the plane and held in a detention center until another flight could be arranged. The woman was not charged.

"The family spent the day at Chennai airport and was sent to Kuala Lumpur by a Batik Air flight," an officer of the Central Industrial Security Force told the Hindustan Times Monday. "No police action was taken."

Once the family arrived in Malaysia they were instructed to take a connecting flight back to Doha, according to the Times of India.

Another Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Bali made an emergency landing after a crew member collapsed in August. According to an Indian news channel report, the flight changed course to Hyderabad where the crew member received medical assistance.
