On Tuesday night, R&B singer Ciara took to Instagram to announce she was expecting a child with husband Russell Wilson. In the announcement photo a smiling Ciara can be seen in the black and white photo with the NFL quarterback’s hands over her stomach.

“On this special birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family. And I’m excited to finally share one of the greatest gifts of all that God could give,” Ciara wrote in the photo’s caption. Wilson also shared the same photo on his account with a caption that read: “The greatest blessing of all. Forever grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay.”

Following the announcement, Ciara’s fans, known as the C-Squad, took to her ex-boyfriend Future’s Instagram page and bombarded his comments with baby and football emojis. Emojis weren’t the only harassment Future received. Other users began writing to the rapper.

“Your son is about to be saying, ‘I just wanna thank my dad Russell for being there my whole life,’ at his high school speech while you in the back looking stupid with a double cup,” wrote one Instagram user.

Ciara and Future were engaged in October 2013 but called off the engagement in August 2014. They have one child together, Future Zahir Wilburn.

While the two have had their drama play out in public following their breakup, Future has wished her the best. In a June interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper said, “Her being successful, her being happy, helps me. I’m attached to you. If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this s--- and for it to come back on my son, my kid.”

As for Future accepting that Wilson is his son’s step-father, that’s harder for him. “It’s something that’ll take more time for me,” he told Rolling Stone.” It ain’t even about [Wilson] playing daddy. I don’t even want to think about it.”
