The seventh episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 gave fans many surprising scenes including Sansa Stark writing a secret letter. The recipient of the letter still remains a mystery, however, some of its contents have been recently deciphered.

The scene showed the character Sansa, played by Sophie Turner, going behind Jon Snow’s (played by Kit Harington) back to pen a letter asking an unknown person for support. Avid viewers would know that the two characters are rallying their troops and allies to attack the Boltons. The HBO series has managed to keep most of the letter’s contents out of the camera’s clear view. However, Reddit user ahellbornlady has posted close-up screenshots of Sansa’s letter, TV Guide reported.

Most of the letter looks illegible due to the blurry shot but some of the words are readable. The letter also hints of a promise of a deal and even referred to the Knights of the Vale. The first screenshot of the letter contains the words, “Now you ...,” as well as the line “... of the Vale are under your command ...” and finally “... your aid, and I shall see to it that you ...”

However, what Sansa promised in exchange for the unknown person’s assistance was not disclosed. In another screenshot of the same letter, the words “forfeit your” and “for Winterfell” can also be seen. These words were located toward the bottom part of the letter, near Sansa’s name and wax seal.

At this point, the identity of the letter's recipient is not clear. Speculations pointed to Turner’s character writing to either Littlefinger (played by Aidan Gillen) or Blackfish (played by Clive Russell), the report said. However, it is not confirmed if Blackfish will decide to aid Sansa and Jon in their upcoming battle. As for the letter being addressed to Littlefinger, it is also confusing that Sansa will write to him given that he has already indicated his support for Turner’s character.

Meanwhile, the preview for the upcoming episode 8 of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 titled “No One” posted on ComicBook.com teased of Blackfish receiving a letter. However, it cannot be said with certainty that the note came from Sansa. Other events shown in the clip featured a tense confrontation between Brienne (played by Gwendoline Christie) and Jaime (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). It also appears that Arya’s (Maisie Williams) battle with the Waif will continue in the upcoming episode.

“Game of Thrones” Season 6, episode 8 will air on Sunday on HBO.
