Port Charles will welcome back a very, very familiar face in 2016. Michael Easton will return to “General Hospital.” The actor’s latest arc on the show as Silas Clay ended when the character was killed in August. However, it seems there is no shortage of men walking around with Easton’s face. This will mark his fifth character on the ABC soap opera.

“GH” producer Frank Valentini revealed the news in a cheeky video where he meets Easton in a grocery store and asks him to return. Valentini says he has “something great” planned for the actor. Watch the video below:

The clip doesn’t reveal any details, but ABC executive Nathan Varni posted on Facebook to let fans know that Easton wouldn’t be reprising any of his past roles. “An exciting new character with details to be announced later this month!” Varni wrote.

Easton has played Silas Clay, John McBain, Caleb Morley and Caleb’s alter ego Stephen Clay on “General Hospital." He has also starred on the now-defunct sister soaps “Port Charles” and “One Life to Live” over the last 15 years. No details on the new character have been released.

Though playing yet another man with the same face seems like a stretch, “GH” fans are thrilled to see the actor come back. Many viewers were even campaigning for the 48-year-old to return. They took to Twitter to express their excitement.

Easton expressed his appreciation on his Facebook page. “It was your kindness and support that made this happen,” he wrote to fans. “I am humbled by your faith. With gratitude and love, now and always, Michael.”

“General Hospital” airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for times.
