Candy lovers can rejoice as the perfect job -- Chief Candy Officer -- is waiting for them at Candy Funhouse.

As Chief Candy Officer, the lucky chosen job seeker will get paid up to $100,000 a year to eat candy – and a lot of it.

Candy Funhouse is one of the largest online candy stores, offering 3,500 different confectionery products on its website. It is now in need of someone to lead the company’s candy strategy, which includes approving all new candy inventory and signing off on treats with the “Chief Candy Officer Stamp of Approval.”

Responsibilities will also include carrying out taste tests, leading “candy board meetings” and being in charge of “all things fun.”

Job candidates also need to be “trendsetters in the candy-verse” and be able to bring “fun” to a new level. Additional requirements for the role of CCO include enthusiasm, an eagerness to try new candy products, a creative mind, and golden taste buds. Candidates should also be a “natural born leader” and know how to have fun.

This is a remote opportunity with the option to work out of Candy Funhouse’s Toronto or Newark, New Jersey, offices. The position is open to anyone 5 years of age and older living in North America. No experience is necessary, but those with food allergies are discouraged from applying.

The chief candy officer reports to the CEO and is being advertised as a part or full-time position.

Applicants can apply on Candy Funhouse’s website or on LinkedIn by submitting an application by Aug. 31.

The job does come with an extensive dental plan, Candy Funhouse said.
