Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "Ghosts of Christmas Always." The film, starring Kim Matula and Ian Harding, premieres Sunday night.

The film will be a treat for Hallmark fans, as it is the first time any of its stars are appearing in a film on the network. Of course, the cast is known for roles in other projects. Matula, for example, is well-known for her role as Hope Logan on "The Bold and the Beautiful," as well as roles as Tiffany James on "UnREAL" and Ronnie on "LA to Vegas." Harding, meanwhile, is best known for his roles as Phillip Davis on "Chicago Med" and Ezra Fitz on "Pretty Little Liars."

Matula and Harding aren't the film's only stars of course. Reginald VelJohnson ("Family Matters") and Lori Tan Chinn ("Awkwafina is Nora From Queens") also star.

So what can fans expect from the film? Let's find out.

"Katherine (Matula) works for the Department of Restoring Christmas Spirit as a Ghost of Christmas Present," a synopsis reads. "She loves her job, visiting Earth every Christmas to help one unsuspecting soul rediscover their Christmas spirit. But this year has something unusual in store for her."

This year, the assignment Katherine gets is a bit peculiar.

"Along with her co-workers, Ghost of Christmas Past Arlene (Tan Chinn) and Ghost of Christmas Future Roy (VelJohnson), their assignment is a man named Peter (Harding)," the synopsis continues. "They're not sure why they've been assigned to him because, unlike their typical cases, Peter's Christmas spirit is on point."

However, despite the confusion initially, it soon becomes clear why they were assigned to him.

"When it appears that Katherine and Peter just might be fated for each other, their assignment starts to head down an unusual path none of them could have expected," the synopsis concludes.

"Ghosts of Christmas Always" premieres Sunday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
