Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) might still be alive in “Gotham” Season 4. Will she finally become Harley Quinn? Fox

“Gotham” fans were thrown in for a loop during the Season 3 finale when they saw their beloved queen of the underground, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), electrocuted by her former friend Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas).

Everybody was expecting Babs to make her transition to Harley Quinn, especially since the show’s producers heavily teased that she will be making her appearance during the show’s finale. When Babs appeared to be dead and Harley was nowhere to be seen, it seemed like a sad twist for viewers.

However, David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne in the series, gave fans some assurance that she is still alive and kicking when he spoke during the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Nashville over the weekend, according to Movie Pilot. When asked how Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) would end up naming his daughter after Barbara, Mazouz hinted at another evolution for Babs, implying that the villainess has not yet bitten the dust. “Maybe she can get good again... and they’ll get back together at some point soon,” he said.

Given this statement, does it mean Dr. Leslie “Lee” Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) would be the one leaving the show for good? During the Season 3 finale, Lee decided to leave Gotham after she caused a lot of trouble with the Tetch virus. She seemed to have forgiven Gordon for killing her late husband, but Gordon still looks determined to win her back.

Things remain unclear at this point regarding what exactly will happen to them, but in real life, McKenzie and Baccarin could not be happier since they just tied the knot last June. According to People, the two said “I do” to each other on the same day as Baccarin’s 38th birthday at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn, New York. The two enjoyed a small and intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends.

McKenzie and Baccarin made their relationship official in September 2015 after they were spotted getting cozy at the Emmys afterparty. They got engaged last November. The couple further solidified their relationship by welcoming their first child together, Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan, in March last year. She is now 15 months old.

This will be McKenzie’s first marriage and Baccarin’s second. The actress was previously married to Austin Chick, but they parted ways in 2015. They have a 3-year-old son together named Julius Chick.
