Rockstar Games continues to support "Grand Theft Auto Online" with new updates, but it's been awhile since players have gotten a new game mode. "Executives and Other Criminals" lets "GTA Online" players run their own criminal organization. As a crime boss, players can live a life of luxury that rivals the decadence of Tony Montana.

Rockstar announced the "GTA Online" update Thursday. Players have to control every aspect of their criminal empire from hiring bodyguards to upgrading their own Super Yacht. "VIP’s who run their own operation gain access to new co-op Jobs, challenges and special abilities in Freemode, as well as having the power to hire and fire other players for their team of bodyguards," Rockstar wrote in its announcement. "Executives and Other Criminals" will be available as a free download for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC beginning Dec. 15. Bodyguards can earn a steady paycheck along with other stat boosts and perks.

Creating your own criminal organization wouldn't be much fun without some healthy competition. With this being "GTA Online," other players are looking to control the market on all things illegal. Freemode lets organizations battle it out for supremacy. There will be new missions, armored vehicles, a turreted limo the Super Yacht includes a missile defense system. Other Freemode Events will be adapated to "Executives and Other Criminals." The Extraction Adversary Mode included in the update tasks bodyguards to rescue an executive before a hit squad can get to their target.

Released in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and 2014 for the PS4 and Xbox One in 2015 for the PC, "Grand Theft Auto V" continues to be one of the best selling games. To date, "GTA V has sold over 54 million copies across all platforms. "GTA Online" is the multiplayer component of "GTA V."
