The Green Bay Packers clinched the 2019 NFC North title by defeating the Minnesota Vikings on the road Monday night. In Week 17, the division champs have their eyes set on earning home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

If Green Bay beats the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon, they can secure the conference’s No.1 seed with a loss by the San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football.” San Francisco visits the Seattle Seahawks with the NFC West title on the line in the final game of the NFL regular season.

A Packers’ victory and a 49ers’ tie would also get the job done for Green Bay. If the Packers manage to tie the Lions, they’ll need a loss from San Francisco and either a loss or tie by the New Orleans Saints in order to clinch the top seed.

The Packers control their own destiny when it comes to getting a first-round bye. Beating the Lions in Detroit would guarantee that Green Bay won’t have to play on Wild-Card Weekend.

It will be one of the biggest upsets all year if the Lions manage to beat the Packers. Detroit has nothing on the line, and they enter Week 17 on an eight-game losing streak.

Green Bay is a 10-point road favorite, according to OddsShark. The Packers’ moneyline is -550.

In the unlikely event that Green Bay loses, they can still get a bye if New Orleans fails to win their game. The Saints are scheduled to visit the Carolina Panthers, who are on a seven-game losing streak.

The Packers enter Week 17 on a four-game winning streak. Their win over the Vikings gives them a perfect record in the division.

Green Bay last made the playoffs in the 2016 season. The Packers last had a bye in the 2014 season when they were defeated in the NFC Championship Game.
