Hades Dominates BAFTA Games Awards 2021

Hades, a role-playing game developed by Californian studio Supergiant Games, won five BAFTA Games while hot favourite Cyberpunk 2077 failed to win a single award. Hades had received nine nomination and Cyberpunk four.

The awards were announced in an online live event on Thursday.

Hades won the titles for Best Game, Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Narrative, and Performer in a Supporting Role for Logan Cunningham. The Last of Us Part 2, which earned 13 nominations, won BAFTAs for Animation and Performer in a Leading Role for Laura Bailey. Bailey played Abby and earned her first BAFTA. While 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' won the game beyond entertainment and multiplayer categories, 'Sackboy: A Big Adventure' won British game and family.

'Ghost of Tsushima' from Sucker Punch Productions, a game which revolves around the Kamakura Era, was nominated in 11 categories but won only one: audio achievement category.

Siobhan Reddy was honored with BAFTA Fellowship for her work with games company Media Molecule which developed 'Little Big Planet.'
