When it comes to the highest-grossing films, the “Harry Potter” series easily comes to mind for many people. Not only did the franchise produce eight blockbuster installments that spanned a decade, but it also grossed billions worldwide.

The eight “Harry Potter” films made $7.7 billion worldwide, making the series the third-biggest movie franchise in history, according to Forbes.

The outlet pegged J.K. Rowling, author of the "Harry Potter" books, as the highest-earning author in the world in 2019, with $92 million in pre-tax earnings.

With the movies making so much money, it's only reasonable for fans to ask how rich the Harry Potter actors are and how much they made in all eight films.

Daniel Radcliffe, best known for his portrayal of boy wizard Harry Potter, is the richest.

As of 2021, Radcliffe has an estimated net worth of $110 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. At the height of his career, he took home $15 million annually.

Radcliffe reportedly earned nearly $100 million from the “Harry Potter” movies.

Aside from Radcliffe, several cast members, who, apart from portraying roles in the films, forged incredible careers for themselves, are now millionaires.

Trailing behind Radcliffe is Robert Pattinson, who played Cedric Diggory in the fourth "Harry Potter" film. He has an estimated net worth of $100 million.

His role in the film helped Pattinson land the role of Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” saga, where he took home a whopping $25 million base salary and earned another $40 million for the final two films, as pointed out by South China Morning Post.

Actress Emma Watson, known for playing Hermione Granger in the films, is the third richest.

The actress, who currently has a net worth of $85 million, reportedly received $60 million from the eight “Harry Potter” films.

Watson also earned $15 million for her next major role as Belle in “Beauty and the Beast.”

Fourth on the list is five-time Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh, who has a net worth of $60 million.

Aside from his acting career, Branagh acquired his wealth through directing films including “Thor” and “ Cinderella,” among others. He played the role of Gilderoy Lockhart in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."

Actress Helena Bonham Carter, known as Bellatrix Lestrange in the "Harry Potter" franchise, also has an estimated net worth of $60 million.

Carter, who made her big-screen debut in 1985's "A Room with a View," also starred in box office films “Fight Club,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “The King’s Speech” and “Ocean’s 8.”

She co-owns a home in Belsize Park, London, valued at around $14 million.

Following Carter on the list of richest “Harry Potter” cast are Ralph Fiennes, known as Lord Voldemort in the series, and Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley. Each of them has an estimated net worth of $50 million.

Actor Gary Oldman also made it to the list. Oldman, who played Sirius Black, has an estimated net worth of $40 million.
