Has Prince Philip ever cheated on Queen Elizabeth II?

Earlier this year, there were rumors that Prince William cheated on his wife, Kate Middleton, with a family friend named Rose Hanbury. On the online forum Quora, one netizen asked if the Duke of Edinburgh has cheated on the Queen.

A number of netizens responded to the question, but most of them said that there were rumors but no evidence to prove them.

“Probably, but you will be very hard pressed to find any concrete evidence,” Rob Lowe from Australia wrote.

He added that several decades ago when he was in a state government employment, a trusted friend told him that there were arrangements made for ladies of the right class to be available for Prince Philip if he’s interested. However, he added that no one would ever dare say that in court if it happened.

“For seventy years nobody has come forwards despite the enormous sums of money they could earn,” Anthony Graham Dow Woodwark wrote. “I reckon its rubbish.”

According to Jessie Quinn, Prince Philip had been accused of cheating on the Queen a few times. The 97-year-old royal was previously linked to singer Pat Kirkwood. They reportedly exchanged letters and the singer once admitted that she would have “had a happier and easier life” if the royal prince never visited her dressing room.

In 1957, just five years after Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne, the duke faced affair allegations. He was reportedly involved with a few young and beautiful women. According to royal biographer Christopher Wilson, Prince Philip was never against affairs, but he felt that this matter should remain a secret.

In 1992, Prince Philip told a reporter to stop thinking about the rumored affairs since he had never moved anywhere without a policeman accompanying him. He even added, “How the hell could I get away with anything like that?” Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II have both denied the rumored affairs involving the duke.

However, according to Marie Claire, there’s one biographer who insisted that Prince Philip has had affairs while he is married to the Queen.

“The Duke of Edinburgh has had affairs - yes, full-blown affairs and more than one,” Sarah Bradford wrote.

In 2011, Bradford told The Telegraph that Prince Philip loves pretty women and he likes flirting, too. However, she was not sure how important “actual sex” is to him. She added that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh “have a very good relationship” with “mutual admiration and support.”
