Obviously it’s one of the best times to be an HBO fan now that its massively successful series like “Veep,” “Silicon Valley” and, of course, “Game of Thrones” have returned after a very long gap between seasons. However, that’s not the only benefit of being a subscriber to the network’s streaming service in May.

As anyone who streams most of their TV and movie content knows, the beginning of the month can be a tumultuous time as sites like Netflix, Hulu and HBO Now swap out old content for new. In May, HBO Now can boast the Season 6 return of the emmy-winning “Game of Thrones,” which is probably enough for the average person to justify his or her subscription. However, May will see exciting shifts in the network’s library, such as the addition of all four seasons of the legendary sketch comedy series “Mr. Show.”

Meanwhile, it’s finally time for all those 2015 movies you never got around to seeing to become available on HBO. In May, users can stream less-than-stellar films like “Jupiter Ascending,” “Pan,” “Fantastic Four” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” without having to say they bothered to pay full ticket price.
