They started the season off as front-runners and have managed to carry through to the Season 28 finals of “Dancing With the Stars,” and there is a very good chance that “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten could be crowned as the new champions of the show.

Though they’ve had some stumbles since quickly emerging as a top team, Hannah and Alan, a.k.a #TeamAlanbamaHannah have persevered through every routine on the ABC competition series and managed to not only nab some impressive scores over time but have also successfully continued to make it through to every new round. While some of their fellow competitors have some higher judges scores, this season’s unpredictable nature could mean that there is a very real chance Hannah could take the Mirrorball.

Pros

Hannah Was A Front-Runner From The Beginning

Despite her fame coming from her stint trying to find love on ABC’s other hit reality franchise, Hannah quickly wowed and impressed the judges when she took the floor first on Week 1, earning 20 points total and getting the second-highest score overall. She then further impressed in Week 2, getting the highest score of the night with 24 points. She also tied at the top in Week 4 and with the exception of once, had stayed fairly near the upper half of the pack. She’s even earned some 10s from the judges as well, and while a perfect score remains elusive, it’s not something that’s required for a win.

Alan Has Never Won

Three of the finalists have the same advantage this season when it comes to the pro they’re partnered with. Three have never won a Mirrorball at all, and Alan is one of them. Of the three pros who haven’t won, he is also one of two who have made it to the finals before. He knows what to expect when it comes to choreographing a Freestyle, which could be a huge advantage, and if fans continue the trend of voting for someone to win because they want to see a pro be rewarded with their first-ever Mirrorball, it presents Alan with a chance to finally win.

Hannah Has Never Been In The Bottom Two

Perhaps the biggest advantage Hannah has though comes from the fact that she has never landed in the Bottom Two, and she’s the only one in the finals who hasn’t. She clearly has a devoted fanbase that is casting their votes for her, and with the judges not determining the official final results in this round, it gives those fans a chance to make sure that their voices are heard.

Cons

She Has Been Struggling In Recent Weeks

One thing that could work against Hannah though is the fact that she has been having trouble with critiques in recent weeks, and while her scores haven’t been bad, they haven’t always been as impressive as the ones earned by her competitors. If she continues to struggle in the finals, including during her freestyle, it could be the very thing that keeps her from getting the Mirrorball.

The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 28 finale airs Monday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
