American actor and producer Tom Cruise’s $59 million custom-designed retreat in Telluride, Colorado is a feast for the eyes.

Cruise, known for his roles in “Mission Impossible,” “The Mummy” and “Top Gun” among many others, designed the scenic home himself back in 1994. It was built by one of Telluride’s top builders.

The property, sitting amongst 298 acres of majestic national forest land, has horse riding stables as well as a private helipad.

The main house has four bedrooms and six bathrooms sitting on nearly 10,000 square feet. The gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room parade the panoramic mountain views and foliage, as well as the divine design details that include vaulted ceilings and bleached cedar timbers.

From natural stone patios that line the exterior of the warm, welcoming and captivating home; to wooden, earthy kitchens and cozy dining rooms, this log mansion would surely catch the eye of aesthetic-loving people.

The guest house, measuring about 1,600 square feet, sits on the property providing three more bedrooms and three more bathrooms, marking the entire estate with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The property comes complete with a library, gym, and recreation room that has a pool table as well.

The beautiful gated estate also includes a court for tennis, basketball and ice hockey, as well as a private trail system.

Telluride is known for its ski resort that often enchants ski enthusiasts with its charming and alluring scenery. It was ranked as “North America’s Best for Overall Satisfaction” by Ski Magazine. It ranked Number One for both Scenery and Character as well. Many have said that Telluride is a near perfect place to ski, wowing guests with the level of quality.

The A-list celebrity and movie star put the estate on sale as far as 2014 with no takers. House Beautiful says that Cruise refused to drop his $59 million price tag despite the tough market situation. But, of course, this isn’t the first time a famous celebrity has had a hard time with selling multi-million estates. As of 2016, the movie actor has taken his Telluride log mansion off the market.
