HTC has officially declared that it will be announcing its new flagship smartphone on April 12. Following its official announcement, there's speculation that the HTC 10 release date is set for April 15. Its early AnTuTu benchmarks scores show that it can deliver better performance than other flagships like Xiaomi Mi 5 and Samsung Galaxy S7. Several leaked photos of the rear panel of HTC 10 (aka HTC One M10) that have surfaced have revealed the design it will carry.

Phone Arena has reported that an anonymous person from Taiwan has revealed the early AnTuTu benchmark scores of HTC 10. The smartphone that has scored 156,091 has defeated rival flagship smartphones from this year like Xiaomi Mi and Galaxy S7 that have scored 136,875 and 134,599, respectively, on AnTuTu.

According to a Chinese source, ePrice, the HTC 10 will be hitting the market on April 15 after it is officially announced on April 12. It will be first released in Taiwan, the home country of the company. Evan Blass, the popular leakster, had revealed in the previous month that the HTC 10 release date in the United States will be in the second week of May, GSM Arena reported.

Several leaked photos of the HTC One M10 have surfaced. Like its predecessor models, the 2016 HTC flagship phone will sport a metal design chassis. It is now rumored to arrive in two colors, black and gray.

Previous rumors have suggested that the HTC 10 will be also available in white and gold color options. The chamfered edges that will promote better grip on the device can be clearly seen in the leaked photos.

The rear panels are enabled with two horizontal lines placed at the top and bottom. There seems to be a plastic segment at the top portion where it houses a 3.5 mm audio jack. At the bottom, there is a single speaker grille along with USB Type-C port.

Unlike the square camera of HTC One M9, its successor model sports a round camera that is accompanied by dual-LED flash. HTC has teased that its new flagship smartphone will be sporting a very compelling camera. HTC One M10 rumors suggest that it will be coming with specs like 5.2-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a 12-megapixel camera.
