The HTC 10 (also known as HTC One M10) is now officially announced and one of its strongest rivals is the Google Nexus 6P. Here is a comparison of specifications, features and prices between the two flagships.

Design and Display

Both HTC 10 and Nexus 6P sport full-metal unibody design. The HTC 10 measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 9 mm and weighs 161 grams. It comes with in multiple colors like gray, gold, silver and red.

In comparison, the Google Nexus 6P is larger and slimmer, with dimensions of 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm. It weighs 185 grams and is available in three color choices — aluminum, graphite and frost.

The HTC One M10 features a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 screen that offers Quad HD resolution. The Nexus 6P has a larger screen of 5.7 inches that also suports Quad HD resolution.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The HTC 10 is powered by Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, and supports up to 2TB of microSD external storage.

The Nexus 6P, a Huawei product, features Snapdragon 810, the predecessor to SD 820 SoC, and 3GB of RAM. There is no microSD card slot on the device but it comes with internal storage choices of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

Camera, Software and Other Features

The HTC One M10 has a 12-megapixel camera that has features like Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. Its 5-megapixel front camera also supports OIS.

The Nexus 6P has a 12.3-megapixel camera. It lacks OIS, but includes features like laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. For shooting selfies, it is equipped with an 8-megapixel frontal camera.

The Android Marshmallow OS is available on both the smartphones. However, the OS on HTC 10 is customized with Sense 8 UI. Both the smartphones feature front-facing dual speakers. The BoomSound speakers on HTC 10 does not support stereo output. Both the smartphones feature fingerprint scanners and USB Type-C ports.

Battery and Price

The Nexus 6P has a bigger battery of 3450 mAh, compared with the smaller battery of 3000 mAh capacity in the HTC 10. Both devices support fast charging.

The base model of HTC 10 is priced at $699, while the Nexus 6P with 128GB storage is priced at $649. The 32GB and 64GB variants of Nexus 6P are available for $499 and $549, respectively.
