As the summer winds down, the only thing heating up is the rumor mill regarding the iPhone 5.

More and more information has come out about the much ballyhooed phone, despite the fact Apple hasn't even acknowledged its existence yet. Recently, TVC Mall, a wholesale cell phone parts distributor in China, leaked a few components of what could be the next generation iPhone.

A few of the third party components that will make up the next iPhone 5 that were allegedly leaked included a battery pack, rear camera and audio flex components. The parts are definitely distinct from those found on the iPhone 4. However, the parts don't give a clue or indication to whether or not the iPhone 5 will be completely redesigned from its predecessor.

While the parts are distinct, in the case of the battery pack, it may have the same exact power as the iPhone 5. The alleged iPhone 5 battery pack is 3.7v and 5.3Whr while the iPhone 4 battery is 3.7v and 5.25Whr.

The back camera also looks similar to the iPhone 4 with some minor differences in surrounding parts. However, like the iPhone 4, the iPhone 5 will seemingly have embedded camera flash. There were rumors that there could be dual LED flash with the iPhone 5. Another rumor is the iPhone 5 will have an 8 megapixel camera.

Another rumor has more to do with iOS 5. According to 9to5Mac, Apple will include an earthquake warning notification option to iOS 5. With the latest version of iOS, Japanese users can turn on earthquake notifications. This will give people earthquake warnings from seconds to one or two minutes before the disaster hits.

Along with specifications and features, the iPhone 5's release date. 9To5Mac recently said the phone will launch on October 7. The rumor was originally rumored by blog TiPB. The blogs cite sources that said Apple was weighing between October 7 and 14, but are presently shooting for the earlier date. Pre-orders, 9to5Mac, said would occur on September 30.

The blog also said there would be two iPhones launched this fall. One phone will be an upgrade to the iPhone 4, it will be cheaper and possibly prepaid. The other will be the highly speculated about iPhone 5.
