iPhone XR 2019 Sports Dual-Camera Module, Glass Back In Leaked Render

New iPhone XR 2019 renders have been leaked, showing just how the successor to Apple’s warmly-received smartphone looks like.

The photo and video renders, courtesy of reliable leakers @OnLeaks and PriceBaba, are based on current rumors about the upcoming smartphone that doesn’t even have an official name yet. It basically looks like the current iPhone XR, save for a major design change at the back.

According to the renders, the 2019 iPhone XR will retain the same form figure as that of the iPhone XR. It will have the same button, port and speaker placements, and will also feature the same notorious notch its predecessor had. It will also have an all-glass back.

The power button will be on the right side along with the ejectable SIM tray, while the volume and silent buttons will be located on the left side of the phone. The Lightning port is located at the bottom of the phone, along with the speaker grill.

At the back, however, is where things get interesting. The International Business Times previously reported that the 2019 iPhone XR is going to combine a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens in a dual-lens camera setup. The render showed how this might look like: two cameras, one on top of the other, are placed beside a flash inside a box.

The renders look similar to a concept video released last week, showing just how the iPhone 11 could look like. The concept video featured three iPhone 11s, two of them showing three cameras arranged to form a triangle and placed inside a square shaped box, also with a flash.

Of course, consumers shouldn’t expect the iPhone XR successor to feature the exact same camera specifications as that of the successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max. Noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the triple camera setup will be exclusive to the successors of the iPhone XS and XS Max, MacRumors reported.

What’s more, the iPhone XR is a cheaper but powered-down alternative to the XS and XS Max, but its features are already enough for the average iPhone user. Fans can expect the 2019 iPhone XR to follow the same trend.
