“Jane the Virgin” always has the best guest stars, and its fourth season is no exception since “The Defenders” star Rosario Dawson will be joining the cast in a multiple-episode arc in the latter part of the season.

This is what The CW network announced during its kick-off day at the TCA, according to Deadline. Network rep Paul Hewitt provided no extra details about Dawson’s role since he has just been provided the information.

According to TV Line, “Jane the Virgin” will return from its holiday break on Jan. 26, Friday. It only has 10 episodes left before airing its finale on April 13.

The show has a lot of things to unload when it returns. One of the biggest questions fans have is whether Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will get back together after sharing a passionate kiss.

In the promo for the next episode, Rafael confesses to Jane that he wasn’t really planning on kissing her. Next, he happily tells Alba (Ivonne Col) that he kissed Jane. The delighted look on Alba’s face only showed that she approves.

But there’s no guaranteeing that the kiss will reunite them, as steamy as it might be. In one scene, the two finally have a serious talk and where Rafael tells Jane about the “possibility of us.” Rafael confesses that their getting back together has been there on the back of his mind for a long time.

“I just don’t think I can let it go,” he admitted. The pained expression on Jane’s face means things will not go down smoothly.

Another thing the show has to deal with is Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) marriage counselling issue. Rogelio was initially reluctant to go, but counselling might be the least of the couple’s problems when “Jane the Virgin” returns.

“There’s a medical scare that comes up in the future for Xiomara,” Navedo told AM New York. “I won’t go into details, but there’s a significant issue that turns up for her. I’m curious to see where it’s going to go.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
