Everyone knows international actor and director Jean-Claude Van Damme for his martial arts, butt-kicking roles in films like Bloodsport and Timecop, but the Belgian film star brought a not-so-familiar face along with him as a date posing for photos at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards: His 21-year-old daughter Bianca Bree.

Bree, whose real name is Bianca Van Varenberg, is -- naturally -- an aspiring actress, having appeared in some of her father's films, and the only daughter of 51-year-old Van Damme and ex-wife Gladys Portugues.

Bianca Bree grabbed attention on the red carpet at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City wearing a blue, black and white striped body con dress with cut-out side details and sky-high black pumps. The duo appeared to have a blast on the red carpet before the awards show, laughing, twirling and posing for photos with big smiles.

As much as I don't enjoy all that flashy crap, I had a lot of fun, Bree tweeted after the MTV Movie Awards.

Despite her distaste for flashy crap, Bree has appeared on the big screen alongside her father. She made her film debut in 2008 for The Shepherd: Border Patrol as the daughter of Van Damme's character, Jacques Robideaux. Bree has also held roles in 2012's Soldiers and 2011's Assassination Games.

In 2011, for the reality series, Jean-Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors, Bree spoke about how growing up with a famous father has impacted her life.

I shy away from a lot of people because I don't want them to know my life and personal issues. I just have a couple friends who are close and that is it, she said.

Bree isn't the only offspring of Van Damme trying to make it in the movies. Her 25-year-old brother, Kristopher Van Varenberg, has appeared in The Quest in 1996 and Derailed in 2002. He is reportedly working on a new movie with his father and Adam Brody, Welcome to the Jungle, set for release next year.

According to Yahoo News, Van Damme and Kristopher Van Varenberg stepped out the evening before the MTV Movie Awards for an appearance at Spike's 6th Annual Guys Choice Awards. Similarly, Kristopher doesn't let his famous upbringing affect his career goals.

I grew up in Belgium the first five years of my life, Van Varenberg said, according to Yahoo. It was good for me to be raised [with a European mentality], especially now that I'm living in L.A. Here, the sons and daughters [of famous actors] -- it's very easy for them. I've met many of them and it's, 'Tomorrow my father will buy me this' and 'I'm going here' and 'We'll party and drink and smoke.' I have no time for that. I am a machine that is [focused on] working.
