Jeff Zucker resigned as president of CNN Worldwide Wednesday, after admitting to having a consensual relationship with his colleague, Allison Gollust, the network's executive vice president.

Zucker is also leaving his role as WarnerMedia’s chairman of news and sports.

His exit comes less than two months after he fired anchor Chris Cuomo over the latter’s involvement in the political affairs of his brother, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Zucker's admission about his romantic relationship with Gollust was made during the station’s probe into Cuomo's termination.

As Zucker’s nine-year journey with CNN comes to an end, take a look at his net worth, his impressive career and his personal life.

Zucker graduated from Harvard College in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in American history. He served as president of The Harvard Crimson, the daily student newspaper of Harvard University, from 1985 to 1986.

He began his career with NBC in 1986, starting as a researcher before becoming a producer.

Zucker rose to prominence in the early 1990s when he became the executive producer of NBC’s “Today.” He served as the president of the network from 2007 to 2010.

In 2013, he became the president of CNN Worldwide.

Zucker has a net worth of $60 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The outlet said Zucker’s annual base salary at CNN was $6 million, but his annual earnings could easily top $10 million due to bonuses and other rewards.

As president of CNN Worldwide, Zucker oversaw 23 branded news and information businesses, including CNN's U.S. television network, CNN International, HLN and CNN Digital.

In 1996, Zucker married Caryn Stephanie Nathanson who was working on “Saturday Night Live” at the time. They separated in 2020 due to differences in their lifestyles. The two share four children.

In 2007, Zucker and Nathanson paid $12.3 million for a Manhattan apartment. In 2020, they placed the five-bedroom apartment for sale for $17.5 million. The two also co-own a 1.5-acre estate in the Hamptons that they bought for $7.3 million.
