Jennifer Lopez will be turning 50 soon, but the singer and actress feels like she is still 16. In a recent interview on “The Ellen Show,” she talked about the 10-day diet challenge that she and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez underwent, as well as the big tour that she has been working on.

In her interview with Ellen Degeneres, a video of which has been posted on the YouTube channel of the show, Lopez talked about the 10-day diet challenge, which involved only eating food that didn’t contain any sugar or carbs. Lopez said that she has never gone on a diet like this before, but her trainer challenged her to do it. The singer-actress wants to stay in shape for the movie, “The Hustlers at Scores,” which she will start filming soon. She will be playing the role of a stripper in the film.

Staying healthy is something that Lopez does regularly, but her trainer wanted to “push the needle.” Cutting out sugar and carbs, which are what Lopez’s diet mostly consisted of normally, was hard for the singer.

Cutting out the sugar and carbs gave Lopez headaches, and she also said that the diet made her feel like she was in an “alternate reality or universe.” She realized only during this period just how addicted to sugar and carbs she was. Lopez was constantly thinking about eating things like cookies and bread with butter during these 10 days.

Although the 10-day challenge was hard, Lopez found that at the end of the 10 days, she didn’t want sugar as much as before. She told her trainer that she wanted to go on this diet again.

Another clip from that interview posted on “The Ellen Show” YouTube channel shows Lopez talking about her big 50th birthday celebration. Her birthday is in July, and she is going to celebrate by going on her “It’s My Party” tour. Tickets, she said, will be available for purchase online soon. She will only be doing 25 to 28 shows in June and July.

Lopez also played a little game called “Burning Questions” on “The Ellen Show.” The video posted on YouTube showed some funny responses the singer had to questions like what she does if she can’t sleep at night and her favorite part of Rodriguez’s body.
