While the U.S. men's basketball team is still in the hunt for a gold medal at the Olympics, the German national team is not in London.

With no basketball commitments this summer, Dirk Novitzki took this opportunity to wed his fiancée. The Dallas Mavericks star reportedly married his girlfriend, Jessica Olsson, on July 20. State district judge Craig Smith claims to have married the couple a few weeks ago at the forward's home in Dallas.

The announcement comes just a week after the Mavericks denied that their star player had just gotten hitched. The two officially tied the knot last month, but are having a ceremony for some close family and friends in the Caribbean.

Olsson is not famous like her new husband. She is the associate director of the Gross-Michael Foundation art gallery in Dallas. Olsson does have famous siblings, however. Her twin sisters are well-known soccer players.

The 31-year-old was born in Kenya, and is of both Kenyan and Swedish descent.

Before meeting Olsson, Nowitzki had a long relationship with Sybille Gerer, a female basketball player.

Below are some pictures of Nowitzki's wife.
