Julia Stiles recently shared a first photo of her son, Strummer Newcomb Cook, to her over 100,000 followers on Instagram.

In the photo, Stiles’ husband, Preston J. Cook, is holding Strummer’s little hand. The “10 Things I Hate About You” actress also took the opportunity to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mount Sinai hospital for helping her with her son’s birth on Oct. 20.

Back in June, E! News confirmed Stiles pregnancy. A sourced told the publication at that time that Stiles and Cook will be welcoming their first born sometime towards the end of the year. Stiles and Cook also tied the knot in Seattle just two months ago, and she even joked about having a “shotgun wedding.”

Stiles and Cook got engaged in on Christmas Eve of last year at a private residence in Isla Grande, Colombia. And the “Jason Bourne” star announced it on social media by sharing a photo of her beautiful ring. According to E! News, the couple first met on the set of “Go With Me,” where Cook worked as a camera assistant.

During her appearance on “Live With Kelly” (via US Weekly) in July 2016, Stiles revealed that she felt Cook was about to propose to her, but she also didn’t want to get her hopes up. “We had a conversation waiting for an elevator one day, where he was randomly like, out of nowhere, ‘With jewelry, you don’t really wear silver or platinum. You’re more into gold.’ And then I went, ‘What is up with this conversation?’” she said.

Last summer, the 36-year-old actress told People that she and Cook are comfortable with a long-term engagement because they are in no rush to tie the knot. “I’m not getting a ton of marital advice. We’re really slow on the wedding planning so I haven’t really been soliciting advice. Somebody told me about radical empathy, but I’m still trying to figure out what that means. I’m trying to figure out what makes it radical,” she said.
