The trailer for the upcoming open world action-adventure game “Just Cause 3” is coming on April 28, Square Enix announced early Friday morning. The Japanese video game developer also revealed the box art for the title, which is the third installment in the popular “Just Cause” series. No release date has been announced yet.

“Just Cause 3” will take place on fictional Mediterranean island Medici, with Rico Rodriguez as the protagonist. The game’s size will be similar to its predecessor, “Just Cause 2,” taking place over 400 square miles. However, developers of the game did increase its volumetric size, allowing players to explore vertically, opening up areas like subterranean caves and high buildings.

The parachute and grappling hook -- two well-liked features of the previous game -- return in the new title, though developer Avalanche Studios promises the mechanics will be improved.

Avalanche is based in New York City and Stockholm. The privately held company told gamers last year that it would look into downloadable content after the game’s 2015 release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

“Beyond launch, we are likely to look into DLC packs and items as part of our ambition to support ‘Just Cause 3’ and its players for many years to come, but until that time we’re completely focused on making the best ‘Just Cause’ game we possibly can,” Christofer Sundberg, Avalanche Studios chief creative officer, promised fans last year.
