Kane Makes WWE Hall Of Fame, Why This Former Champion Won’t Be 2021 Inductee

With WrestleMania 37 just a few weeks away, there have been some significant announcements regarding the WWE Hall of Fame. One of the Attitude Era’s top superstars will be part of the 2021 class, while another former world champion is no longer set to be inducted.

The Undertaker announced Wednesday that Kane is the newest inductee in this year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class. The news comes shortly after Batista said he requested to be part of a ceremony after this year.

Kane was informed by The Undertaker on WWE’s “The Bump” that he would be receiving the honor. Together, the wrestlers formed The Brothers of Destruction and had one of the greatest feuds in WWE history.

“There’s no Hall of Fame without Kane, I can promise you that,” The Undertaker said.

During a career that lasted more than two decades, Kane was a WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champion.

Batista was supposed to headline the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class. The promotion never had a ceremony because of the pandemic, so last year’s inductees will instead receive the honor along with the 2021 class.

However, Batista won’t be inducted this year because of previous obligations. The six-time world champion said that WWE has agreed to induct him at a future ceremony.

It wasn’t long ago that Batista was competing in some of WWE’s biggest matches. Batista wrestled Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton in the main event of WrestleMania 30. In 2019, Batista wrestled Triple H in one of the top matches on the WrestleMania 35 card.

Batista retired after finding success in Hollywood. The 52-year-old has appeared in several Marvel films, including both “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”

Eric Bischoff and Molly Holly the Great Khali have also been named as 2021 WWE Hall of Fame inductees. The induction ceremony is set for Tuesday, April 6.
