Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge who is known to be thrifty, recycled a gray Orla Kiely dress during a solo engagement at the Town Hall in Islington, London Tuesday morning. She had worn the same dress for an engagement in 2012. Middleton met staff and children from children’s charity Chance UK.

The 33-year-old chanelled casual chic in the recycled pleated dress with black daisy appliqué by the Irish designer. The dress featured a pleated skirt, fitted top which off her slim figure. It also had a thin belt, bracelet sleeves and delicate floral applique in black.

She paired her dress with simple black suede Jimmy Choo Aimee pumps. The duchess accessorized with a black a Mulberry clutch, Links of London hope egg earrings and a silver Cartier watch.

Her brunette tresses were pulled back into a chic ponytail, with her long bangs swept to the side. For her daytime make-up, Middleton opted for some nude lipstick, a hint of mascara and eyeliner.

Kensington Palace took to Twitter and shared the details of the engagement.

During her engagement she attended a reception celebrating the work of the charity. Middleton met mentors, children and their parents involved in the charity’s early intervention scheme. The charity helps youngsters aged between five to 11 who are at risk of developing anti-social or criminal behaviour.

Meanwhile, Prince William also carried out an official engagement at Buckingham Palace. The prince participated in investiture ceremonies where he presented Frank Lampard, among other stars, with an Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Middleton had worn the same Orla Kiely gray dress during a visit to Dulwich Picture Gallery with her father-in-law Prince Charles in 2012. Kate chose some of the same accessories for the outing including her favorite Jimmy Choo pumps, Mulberry clutch, while her hair was worn down in her signature glossy blow dry.

Later in the evening, the mother-of-two donned extra special jewels to attend the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala Dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum. She dazzled in Queen Mother’s diamond and sapphire fringe earrings, which she teamed with a diamond bracelet reportedly a wedding present from Prince Charles.

Middleton looked stunning in a floral silk dress by London-based label Erdem. The royal paired her look with a black satin black clutch and her glossy brunette tresses were left loose over her shoulders in a glossy blow-out.
