Kate Middleton recently made a heartbreaking remark during her engagement at Mumbles Pier on Tuesday.

While there, the Duchess of Cambridge met a young royal fan named Annabel, who waited in the cold with her mom to meet a real-life princess.

During her interview with Daily Mail, Annabel’s mom, Rhian Costello, revealed how excited her daughter was to see the future queen. Annabel is a huge fan of Cinderella, and she also loves fairytales.

But the young royal fan wasn’t very pleased when she saw Prince William’s wife because she thought that Middleton would be wearing a princess gown that’s similar to her favorite Disney character.

“I’m really sorry I’m not wearing a pretty dress today,” Middleton told Annabel.

“I thought you’d look like Cinderella,” the young royal fan replied.

By the looks of it, Middleton wasn’t necessarily offended by the young girl’s comment, especially since she also has kids herself.

Meanwhile, Middleton also made headlines this week after she and Prince William were dubbed as the saving grace of the British monarchy.

The royal couple visited Port Talbot, where they dropped by the Bulldogs Boxing Community. The organization is dedicated to educating and inspiring the community, particularly the youth.

Photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were uploaded on their official Instagram account. And after seeing learning about their latest engagement, royal fans praised the couple.

“They are perfect,” Instagram user @steph_andy_ said.

“I love this pair more and more,” Instagram user @alexayirebi said.

“They are wonderful,” Instagram user @kellyz9999 said.

“A wonderful cause, a true inspiration! Thank you,” Instagram user @brendalee709 said.

At least one person that doesn’t support Prince William and Middleton called the royal couple boring. But some of the royal couple’s fans fired back and defended them.

“Another bitter person from the US disrespecting our royals. It’s jealousy,” Instagram user @yvonne_brown_474 said.

“Get your country in order before you comment,” Instagram user @glanvillemiriam said.
