Kate Middleton looked so surprised when she appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony after her royal wedding to Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a fairytale-like wedding. Their courtship spanned for almost a decade and after almost 10 years, they tied the knot.

Prince William and Middleton exchanged “I do’s” in April 2011. A clip taken from their big day when the couple arrived at the Buckingham Palace balcony was shared on Instagram.

Thousands of people were waiting for the newlyweds to witness their balcony kiss. Upon arrival, Middleton looked shocked at the crowd waiting for them. Middleton couldn’t help but exclaimed “Oh, wow.”

“‘oh wow!’. That would have been an amazing unforgettable view!!” the caption read.

Meanwhile, due to Middleton’s surprising reaction, another netizen wondered if it was her first time to be at the balcony. It’s probably, Middleton’s first appearance on the balcony because royal girlfriends don’t join the royal family at Trooping the Colours or other events where they appear on the balcony.

Two months after Middleton and Prince William’s wedding, Middleton joined the members of the Firm on balcony for the Trooping the Colour parade.

According to a previous report, Queen Elizabeth II has three concerns about Middleton before she married Prince William. The monarch was concerned about her lavish lifestyle as she was always partying. She also vacationed at Mustique frequently that she was dubbed “Queen of Mustique.”

Aside from these, Middleton had no job and the Queen also felt that she was not very dedicated into charity works.

“There was a phase where she appeared to be doing very little really,” royal expert Phil Dampier recalled. “The Queen once remarked Kate doesn’t do very much so I think she had a fairly long entrance to the Royal family.”

However, there are also three things Middleton possesses that the Queen loves so much about her. The monarch is reportedly happy with her close bond to her family. Unlike Princess Diana and Meghan Markle, Middleton has a complete family and she is very close to them.

Queen Elizabeth II also loves the fact that Middleton doesn’t steal the spotlight from the royal family. They also shared the same passion for the outdoors.
