Kate Middleton and Prince William will be there by Princess Charlotte's side on her first day of the school.

According to Express, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were invited for a "stay and play" session to ensure that their daughter's first day at Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington will go smoothly. Having Prince William and Middleton around will make Princess Charlotte more relaxed at school until such time that she is ready to attend by herself.

The school encourages parents to be there for their kids in the early stages of their nursery class. "As your child builds a rapport with the teachers, we will ask you to stay in the vicinity for the first few sessions so that you can return if needed," it notes.

Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington is near the royal couple's home. It is run by Lavinia Taylor and gives emphasis on "good manners." The school was once featured in Tatler's guide to top nurseries.

Princess Charlotte attending nursery school was confirmed in December. A spokesperson for Willcocks even said that they were "delighted" by the news of the royal attending their program, BBC reported.

"We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January," the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, when Prince George was at nursery, he attended Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk. At the time, the four-year-old tot is attending Thomas's Battersea in London. He had his first day at the institution on Sept. 7.

Initially, Middleton and Prince William planned to escort Prince George on his first day of school in Thomas's Battersea, but the Duchess of Cambridge did not make it due to hyperemesis gravidarum. However, the Duke went on and accompanied their son. The duo even posted for a first-day of school portrait.

In the snap, Prince George looks adorable and smart in his new uniform. He is all smiles as he puts one hand in his pocket and the other holding his dad's hand. Meanwhile, Middleton was reportedly "devastated" for missing the event.
