Kate Middleton, Prince William And Their Kids Attend Duchess' Brother's Wedding: Report

Kate Middleton and Prince William were present during her brother's nuptials over the weekend, a report says.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted to France Saturday to witness James Middleton and his French love Alizee Thevenet's wedding, Page Six reported. Prince William, 39, and Duchess Kate, 39, brought along their three kids — Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

James, 34, and his 31-year-old financial analyst wife's wedding had been postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They finally tied the knot this weekend in a small, private ceremony held in southeastern France where Thevenet's father, Jean-Gabriel Thevenet, lives.

James and Duchess Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also in attendance, according to the outlet. James' other sister, Pippa Middleton, and brother-in-law James Matthews reportedly also attended the event with their two young children, Arthur and Grace.

James shared a sweet snap from their wedding on Instagram Sunday. In the picture, the newlyweds are all smiles, with both dressed in white.

"Mr. & Mrs. Middleton," he wrote in the caption, adding several emojis including the U.K. and France flags. "Yesterday, I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village of Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am."

In January 2019, Thevenet's dad told the Daily Mail that his daughter was very happy with James. He also had nothing but praise for his now-son-in-law.

"My daughter Alizee is very happy with James, they are very much in love," the retired French diplomat told the outlet. "James is a very charming man. I am very happy that Alizee is together with James. I know she is very happy. We keep our fingers crossed for them."

He added, "I am not allowed to say how they met, to give away their secrets. You must talk to her or James, they will be back in London soon, but I’m very happy for them."

At the time, Thevenet's dad confirmed that he saw their photos in St. Barts. According to him, "they look very happy," and he could also see that his daughter was "very happy" with James in London.

James and Thevenet got engaged in October 2019. He announced the news on Instagram by sharing a snap that showed his then-fiancée rocking a big sapphire engagement ring.

"She said OUI," he wrote with a red heart emoji. "Our secret is out but we couldn’t be happier to share the news."
