Kate Middleton and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, are showing royal fans a good tandem amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been taking more engagements following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit. The future king and queen have become more visible since they need to up their game to keep up with the demands from the monarchy considering that the Queen and Prince of Wales have to slow down due to their age that makes them more susceptible to the virus.

Middleton and Prince William found a new ally in Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Many love Middleton and Sophie’s tandem especially after they appeared in a Zoom call for the International Nurses Day. In fact, for royal author Christopher Wilson, the duchess and the countess’ pairing is what the world needs today.

“In the enforced absence of the Queen they are showing how the royals remain as strong as ever,” Wilson said.

“Kate and Sophie represent the very best we can hope for in our royal women - and we look forward to seeing much more of them as a team.”

Middleton and Sophie’s banter during the Zoom call caught the attention of the royal fans who saw it. At one point, a male nurse in Cyprus told the duo that his children back home were coping without school, but it was fine because his ex-wife was a school teacher and she kept them busy.

When Middleton was about to speak, Sophie laughed and said, “Be careful, be careful, she's about to be recruited.” Middleton giggled and admitted that she needed help in teaching Prince George and Princess Charlotte because they were homeschooling, too.

“Hope we see Kate and Sophie do more engagements together. They are lovely,” one netizen commented.

"Love Kate and Sophie,” another added.

“Sophie, though, is a real treasure. When she works alongside Kate, nobody is worrying about rank or title. They look natural because they are natural. This is exactly what they are like in real life. It's not an act,” a different user opined.

Royal expert Roberta Fiorito had the same observation and she said she also loved seeing Middleton and Sophie together.

“The two of them really have a good kind of banter together and I love them tag-teaming things like this,” Fiorito said.
