Royal watchers were quick to note Kate Middleton sporting a new, shorter hairdo courtside as she took her seat to watch a Wimbledon match at the All England Club on Wednesday. The Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William were in the royal box to watch Andy Murray take on Canadian Vasek Pospisil. Kate is known for her glossy, blow-dried locks, according to Hello.

The 33-year-old British royal rarely experiments with her hair style. But at the tennis match royal fans were surprised to see the brunette beauty step out at Wimbledon with new shorter layers. Her hair was styled in her favorite high-shine bouncy blowout.

She looked radiant in the new hair style with soft highlights added to her tresses. Besides, she also appeared to debut a new fringe. It’s not the first time Kate has cut her hair into a fringe. In 2012, she debuted the look when she opened the Natural History Museums' Treasures Gallery. The style was believed to have been created by her then-hairdresser Richard Ward, who has a salon off Sloane Square in London. She also sported the look in 2006 when she was dating her now husband Prince William.

Kate turned up the heat in a striking red LK Bennett dress. The chic short sleeved dress ended just above her knees. The LK Bennett dress is listed on the brand’s website as “cardinal red” and a “go-to dress for that special occasion."

She teamed the outfit with her favorite nude pumps. She accessorized her outfit with a Cartier watch, and Mirabelle “Lolita” earrings. She completed her look with a Diane von Furstenberg leopard print clutch and Ray Ban wayfarers that William sported.

Meanwhile, William looked dapper in one of his favorite navy blue suits. He teamed the crisp separates with a baby blue button-up shirt and a checkered red tie. The tie was carefully matched with his wife’s ensemble.

Sitting behind the royal couple was adventurer Bear Grylls, while Sophie Wessex and Prince Albert of Monaco were seated nearby. Also spotted at the match was soccer star David Beckham with his son Romeo Beckham. The father-son duo looked equally handsome in their matching blue suits.
