Kate Middleton looked dazzling in a blue designer dress and diamond Cartier earrings during the SportsAid gala held in London on Thursday.

The Duchess of Cambridge displayed her glamorous side while attending the pre-dinner event to celebrate the charity SportsAid’s 40th anniversary. The pre-dinner event was held at the Kensington Palace gardens, while the dinner reception was held inside the King’s Gallery State apartments, Express reported. Prince William’s wife met some of the young athletes and SportsAid ambassadors, as well as a few of the charity’s alumni members.

For the pre-dinner celebration, Kate wore a floor-length royal blue Nansen gown from designer Roland Mouret’s 2016 collection. The dress featured shoulder cut-off sleeves and a v-neckline. The Roland Mouret gown even had a nipped in waist and a skirt that flared from the knee down. The designer gown is said to cost 2,095 pounds ($3,027), as indicated in the same report.

The Duchess also kept her hair down with soft curls framing her face. She partnered her royal blue dress with a small black clutch bag and black heels. However, a jewelry piece that caught the attention of fashion lovers is Kate’s earrings. Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mother wore a pair of Cartier Diamond “Trinity de Cartier” earrings worth $56,500, according to Us Weekly magazine. The 18-karat gold circle earrings featured three hoops intertwined together. Each hoop also contains several pieces of 8 karats Cartier diamonds.

Kate has been a patron of the charity SportsAid since 2013. The organization has provided financial assistance to many young athletes. The charity also helped them to continue their training and compete in various sporting events. A few of the SportsAid alumni’s careers were also launched through the help of the said organization.

Apart from meeting athletes, SportsAid ambassadors and supporters, the Duchess also gave a short speech during the pre-dinner event. She even posed for a group picture with some of the young athletes and the charity’s alumni. The picture was also posted on Kensington Palace’s Twitter account.

In the photo, Kate stood in the middle of the group of SportsAid athletes. The image was captioned, “The Duchess in the Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace with current and former @TeamSportsAid athletes.”
