Tom Cruise has not seen his daughter Suri for three years and the reason is the actor's belief in the Church of Scientology, Page Six reported Tuesday. The news comes amid rumors that Cruise and Holmes got divorced because the actress feared she would lose their daughter to Scientology.

The Church of Scientology forbids its members from associating with nonbelievers, sources told Page Six, adding that Suri and Holmes do not believe in Scientology, a religion the “Mission Impossible” star follows. Cruise has reportedly not seen his daughter since she was 7. He was also absent from his daughter's birthday celebrations in April.

“If he wanted to see her, he could see her,” one source told Page Six. “Even people in prison have a right to see their children.”

According to the report, Holmes' spokeswoman Leslie Sloane and Cruise’s publicists did not comment on the claims.

The source also told Page Six that Suri, who lives and goes to school in Manhattan, is "thriving. She’s got lots of friends and a nice, normal life. This is his loss, his issue, his problem,” adding that Cruise "must be really brainwashed."

According to a Radar Online report last month, there was a major change in Suri's lifestyle after Holmes separated from Cruise, yanked her out of the Church of Scientology and moved her to the West Coast.

Over the last few months, rumors have surfaced that Holmes is engaged to Jamie Foxx, and the two have also secretly married. However, the rumors were later debunked.

Most recently, reports claimed that Foxx was attempting to impress a mystery woman while hanging out with her in Beverly Hills amid reports that he and Katie Holmes’ relationship was undergoing problems. In May, Radar Online reported that Holmes was pressurizing Foxx to go public with their relationship. Rumors also surfaced that Holmes is pregnant with Foxx's child.
